Koppel United Methodist Church - Koppel PA

Text Coming Soon!

The Koppel Methodist Episcopal Church was opened on 2nd Avenue sometime in late 1914, at the time when Koppel was a thriving little community. The property may have been donated by the Koppel Land Company. I believe the basement was in use by early 1914 while the church was being completed. Some of the earliest pastors included the Reverends Albert Skoog, Sherman Burson, and William Wigton. Over the years the small congregation often shared a pastor with the Methodist churches in Clinton and Homewood. The church, known as the Koppel United Methodist Church since the late 1960’s, is still in active service today. Full Size
