Evergreen Cemetery - New Bedford PA

Evergreen Cemetery, a non-denominational burial ground, is located in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. It is located on Evergreen Road just north of the village center of New Bedford. I believe the earliest burials were undertaken in the early 1870’s. The property has long been controlled by the Evergreen Cemetery Association, which held annual meetings attended by its officers and lot owners for many years. Among the common surnames you will find interred here are Allen, Bailey, Brown, Burrows, Cover, Dieter, Goodge, Keller, McCreary, Miller, Rogers, Shields, Stevenson, Van Meter, Walker, Wallace, Whiting, Wilson, and Zedaker. The cemetery sits along a quiet rural road and is very well maintained.

  1. You may be interested to know that my grandparents, Isaac & Ariel Gordon, are buried in the far NE corner of this cemetery. Their children are June Gordon (Deceased) and Kenneth Gordon. June married Fred G Moore and they had three children – Fred (me), James (Jimmy) and Darlene. I am the oldest at 57, we are all married and have children and grandchildren. We all reside in Ohio now, Niles, Girard, and Brookfield Township, respectively.
