This was the cemetery for Oak Grove Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It was built on land owned by my great-great-grandparents, Joseph and Sarah Hogue Pence, and sold for $1 to start a church there. They are buried there, as are my grandparents William and Bertha Burnett Sheets, and my great grandmother Mary Ellen Burnett whose grave marker is pictured. Besides the Pences, other families buried here include Boak, Copper, Frew, Harlan, and Patterson, to name a few. The church was torn down many years ago, but the cemetery is well cared for by the
descendants of those buried here.
