Jones Field - Slippery Rock Twnp PA

Text Coming Soon!

Jones Field, located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Old Princeton and Copper Roads in Slippery Rock Township, was was built by Bob Jones in late 1998 and early 1999. His parents William and Josephine Jones (she is a longtime local tax collector) owned the property at that location and donated an acre for the field. It was designed as a t-ball field for local youngsters. Jones spent about $3,000 on the project and solicited a handful of volunteers to assist him in its construction. It appears to have fallen out of regular use. The former one-room Aiken School was once located on the adjacent corner – directly behind the backstop. (c2010) Full Size
